Adorn Opens Its Doors for a Dazzling Before & After Party
On May 28, Adorn opened its doors twice. Once before Design in Bloom began, and once after the installations had been judged, the winner announced, and the energy of a full evening was still very much in the air.
The before party was small on purpose. Around 30 guests moved through a space we had spent time thinking about. Not just flowers on a table, but a considered environment built around the idea of how creativity actually unfolds. Three sections, each with a name and a point of view.

Inside Adorn's Curated Floral Experience: Study. Interpret. Flourish.
The first section, Study, was quiet and collected. Books on botany, gardening, and the natural world laid out alongside floral references and gathered objects. The idea being that before anything blooms, someone has to sit with it first.
Interpret came next. Live arrangements in ceramic vessels brought flowers into conversation with form and texture. Dahlias and alliums in a stoneware vase. Pink carnations and hyacinths spilling from a matte black globe. Small bud vases scattered across stepped wood platforms, each one a single thought.
Flourish was the full expression. Floral inspired artwork, chalk pastels, a painting palette, brushes and paper. An invitation to make something. The room was layered, colorful, and fully in bloom.

Denver's Design Community Celebrates at the Adorn After Party
When the main event wrapped at Workplace Resource LoDo, the crowd came back.
Nearly 100 people filled the Adorn space for the after party, riding the high of a great evening. BARI Architecture and Make West had just taken the top honor for their collaborative installation, and the room felt it. Good conversations, familiar faces, a space that was still warm from everything that had been set up earlier in the day.
Adorn: Denver's Home for Design Community Events
Design in Bloom belongs to Modern in Denver. But the before and after were ours, and we loved every part of it.
This is exactly the kind of evening Adorn was built for.
