Adorn, Featured by Interior Design Magazine

A downtown Denver retail emporium designed for discovery, community, and the finishing touches that complete a space

What Adorn was built for

Interior Design recently featured Adorn in a project story highlighting the space as a curated destination for both the A&D community and everyday shoppers. The piece, written by Stephen Treffinger with photography by Jason O’Rear, describes Adorn as a place where styling services, objects, and events live together under one roof.

“Retail through the lens of architecture”

One line from the feature perfectly captures the energy we hoped to create. A space where the architecture supports exploration, and every detail invites you to slow down and look closer.

“This is retail through the lens of architecture. A space where design tells the story and every detail invites discovery.”

— Lindsay Malison, Senior Associate and Design Director, Gensler Denver

A layout built for vignettes, flexibility, and events

The article describes a bright, airy interior organized as a series of vignettes that take guests on a visual journey. White-painted arches connect ceiling elements and lead to a central zone anchored by custom modular oak boxes. Those modules shift from product display, to larger surfaces for laying out artwork, to seating for small events, including a recent workshop with watercolorist Steve Griggs.

Color plays a role too. Vivid green, yellow, and orange walls define product areas, paired with MillerKnoll furniture and Duracryl’s Durabella seamless terrazzo flooring to create a modern, welcoming feel.

“It’s unlike anything else in Denver.”

Where Adorn’s services come to life

At its core, this feature reinforces what Adorn offers every day: interior styling services and art consultation services that help spaces feel finished, layered, and personal.

It’s a place to explore, source, and refine the final details, whether you’re looking for interior decor services, interior decorating services, or a partner for interior design for commercial spaces that need warmth and personality.

Experience it for yourself

The best way to understand Adorn is to walk through it. Browse the vignettes, take in the color, and see how the finishing layer changes the feeling of a space.
